This Random Acts of Kindness Bingo game is meant to be a way you can help your child learn how valuable he is. How powerful his acts, words and thoughts really are. It can teach him/her that there is SO much he/she CAN do right! This game is meant to be played as a family. Your modeling will be crucial to your child's experience. You are his regulation in many many situations so get in there and be right beside him throughout - reality is that a stronger connection will happen too!
Have fun with this. You can use it in many ways...try one kind of bingo a month (kitty corner, 4 corners, etc.) or see how long it takes you to do a black out. There is no right or wrong way. Just do it. There are 3 spaces to fill in - these could be used in multiple ways too. Decide as a family what activity to do (more of a local effort let's say) or when you see your child do a random act of kindness without even thinking about it point it out and add it to the board - now that would be healing! (don't announce you are watching, just let it happen!)
One last thing...Don't think of this as a one time use item - it can (and should) be done over and over. The kind of healing you are dealing with can often take years and years. The message you are trying to create for your child may need to be heard and experienced just as long.
I hope you enjoy this game and that it adds to the already awesome work you are doing to help your kids heal! ~Stacy Manning
