Small Steps

Dream BIG. We’ve all heard those messages. Big goals, big dreams, big visions.

But here’s the problem…parenting can be draining, exhausting and oh so challenging. And in those moments, it can be hard to think big. Overwhelming to think of what you need to get to those big goals. That’s when it is time to THINK SMALL.

Small steps. Small, bite-sized chunks. Those are the kind of steps that seem more manageable, more do-able, more within reach.

Write down 3 things you are grateful for. That is a small step.

Strive to be neutral for the rest of the day (or for an hour if that seems too impossible). Small step.

Learn one new tool to try. Small step.

Find one good thing your child did today. Small step.

Don’t let the challenges stop you from taking steps. Don’t let them get you stuck. Just think small. Small steps can add up.

Keep dreaming BIG and keep taking SMALL steps forward!

We CAN move forward, together!
